The children of Primary have kick started their project busily and have participated in lessons where the "history of London" has interlinked with a variety of areas across the curriculum.
We have so far enjoyed Celtic, Roman and Anglo Saxon cookery with Miss Hiroe, researched the origins of British place names in ICT with Miss Gilly and developed mind maps for writing skills with Miss Kate.
The children have also designed their own Roman roads in art as part of learning about Roman Britain's legacy. Also we interlinked geography with history as the children designed their own maps based on Ariel photographs of an Anglo Saxon village which they built in turns during the morning cycle.
The children are showing a wonderful interest in our Horrible History style project on our cities history. I look forward to seeing more creativity unfold over the coming weeks.
