All four classes have welcomed in Chinese New Year 2013 – The Year of the Snake!

E1 – Miss Qiao brought in special objects from China. The class made their own colourful snake paintings out of string and paint.

E2 – made dragon puppets and a large dragon’s head (to recreate the traditional dance) out of boxes, papermache and heaps of paint!

Primary – gave a wonderful presentation to the lower years on the Chinese Horoscope; its’ origin and mythology and showed us the puppets and calligraphy they made.

Preparatory – helped to make the ‘loudest ever’ dragon dance in the garden – comprising of twenty or so children, from all four classes; drums and maracas…a colourful and enthusiastic way of bringing in the New Year – Rainbow style!

From all of us at Rainbow, we wish you:

Gong Hei Fat Choy, 恭喜发财
