Elementary. 1 had a very busy last week of term!
The children enjoyed rehearsing for the end of term show, as well as watching a play at Jackson Lane Theatre. They loved decorating the Christmas tree and baking cookies with Miss Hiroe.
After learning about different festivals such as the Hindu festival Diwali, we then learnt about Christmas and the Nativity story. Elementary 1 also had the opportunity to act the story out and were were interested in how some people celebrate Christmas in this country. We are looking forward to learn about and celebrate more festivals from around the world in the new year.
On the last day of term the children enjoyed dressing up, playing games and having a special Christmas lunch with special Christmas crackers to pull open!
I wish you all Merry Christmas and a very happy new year!
We will be back on Tuesday, 7th January 2014!
Kind regards,
Miss Sylvia
