On Thursday, 4th February Elementary 1 had a visit from Mr Raff who is the Computing (ICT) teacher of Primary and Preparatory. He took apart a computer with the children looking at all the different pieces and why a computer needs them.
The one the children liked the most was the "motherboard". The motherboard connects all the different devices so that the computer functions.
There were also lots of other interesting parts of the inside of a computer to look at: the hard drive, ram memory, the DVD drive also called disc drive, cables and a fan. The fan helps the computer to cool down when getting to hot on the inside.
Thank you Mr Raff for a really interesting session where we all got to see and touch all the important parts from the inside of a computer.
We all learnt so much!
