Elementary 1 really enjoyed their trip to the forest at Hampstead Heath near Kenwood House.
Miss Kitty did a workshop with the class looking at various trees, leaves and animals from the forest, which was a direct link to our project about "different habitats".
The children were excited to collect different things from the forest to contribute to our nature table and use magnifying glasses to inspect their findings and be inquisitive little scientists!
The absolute highlight for most of the children was the opportunity to climb some trees and dig in mud. It was great to observe how well they connected with nature and we are planning to visit Hampstead Heath again.
The trip ended with having lunch in the "old kitchen" at Kenwood House. Once back at school all children had a lovely playtime and a little rest after all that wonderful fresh air!
