Elementary 2 have been very busy gathering inspiration and enthusiasm from natural form.
In the garden, they planted a variety of bulbs and shrubs; learnt their names, origins and how to care for them.
Iris: The Greek Goddess of the rainbow and messenger for the sky and sea.
Narcissus: The Greek God who fell in love with his own reflection.
Heather: A botanical symbol of Scotland and a symbol of luck; also thought to hold many medicinal properties.
Hyacinth: A Greek Goddess associated the rebirth in nature.
The children are looking forward to spring when they will plant many more bulbs, which could not withstand the frost, and hopefully some vegetables too.
