In December the children learnt about the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah.
One of the Elementary one children brought in a Menorah (special candle holder) and presented it to the children from other classes.
We learnt about the story of Hanukkah and why it is a special celdration for many people.
It was wonderful to listen to all the children's thoughts and ideas that they shared with each other and they also looked at books and pictures to learn more about Judaism and Hanukkah.
We look forward to learning about many more festivals and celebrations in future!
