Our PGL trip 2016
Our PGL visit was a 3 day trip. It was a big hit!!!
When we arrived our first activity was Zip wire. It was a thrilling experience! For some people the scariest part was stepping into thin air with nothing to hold onto!
After Zip wire we headed to Sensory trail. We had to put dark goggles on while our instructor led us round different obstacles. It was a combination of us using our five senses and following instructions. At one point we even had to army crawl on the ground! When Sensory Trail had ended, our brilliant group leader, Joe took us to dinner. There were two choices of hot food and a salad bar which we could choose from. It was the yummiest food ever!
After dinner, we played a game of Ambush with our two instructors.
Bedtime was at 9 o’clock. Some of us were a bit homesick for our parents but everyone supported each other and soon we all fell asleep. Miss Marie woke us up at seven in the morning and we got dressed and headed to breakfast. Breakfast was eggs, bacon and sausages with a choice of toast and cereal. It was delicious!
The next day, trapeze was our first activity. Trapeze was very high and somewhat scary. Only a few people made it onto the trapeze itself but everybody made an impressive halfway!
Archery was next on the list. We played a game called cutlery.
Aeroball was our first activity after lunch. It was very tiring. Jacob’s ladder was next, it was terrifying! That night we had a disco, it was far too loud but we all had a lot of fun.
On day three, we did rifle-shooting. We were in a controlled environment and we used pellets that would not hurt anyone.
Our final activity at the PGL centre was abseiling. Abseiling was super high and extremely scary. All of us were very happy when our feet touched the ground again! We had a great time at the PGL centre and we are already looking forward to going back next year!
