In September the Preparatory children have learnt about the Jewish festival Yom Kippur (`Day of Atonement’).

As part of their study of this celebration the children have designed their own posters and then as part of our Friday assembly they presented what they have learnt about Yom Kippur to the rest of the Junior school.

During the assembly we spoke about the meaning of the festival, what people wear during this special celebration and that Yom Kippur is for many Jewish people the most important holiday of the year. As usual at the end of the assembly all children had the opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions.
