To truly consolidate the children's learning of the parts of a flower we continued our work on this through different learning methods. We began the project by assembling the paper flower and labelling it's parts like a puzzle. This was available in the classroom for the children to work with as they wished.
We practised the concept recently through investigating in a truly scientific way by dissecting some Lilly flowers, discussing the identity of each part.
The children really enjoyed integrating this lesson through art by practising their life drawing and painting skills. Have a look at the beautiful flowers the children have painted!
