As world cup fever hit the school, we decided it would be a good idea to learn a bit more about the four countries (Germany, Brazil, The Netherlands and Argentina) that have done so well and made it to the semi-finals.
On Monday the children were put into groups and had to research and find out as much information as they could about the 4 countries... We all learned loads! That afternoon the groups got to present their work to their peers! Everyone did a GREAT job!
That's not all...We didn't just learn about the countries in the world cup, we decided to have our own mini world cup! On Tuesday we had the semi-finals, There was some fantastic passing, super defending and even better goals scored. But the big day was Wednesday!
WORLD CUP FINALS DAY
On Wednesday preparatory and primary went to the park for the finals, tensions were high everyone was ready for the big games they were about to play! Everyone played really well and the games were very close with Germany scoring in the last minute of the game to become our overall winners! I wonder will the outcome be the same on Sunday? Update: Congratulations Germany!
