On Monday, 12th November as part of the PSHE curriculum Primary and Preparatory learnt about Remembrance Day and why it is celebrated, 100 years after the First World War and why the war started.

We looked at some clips of the ceremony that took place at the cenotaph and why it was constructed in remembrance of all the victims of the First World War and looked at a poem about 'red poppies'. Primary then made their own poppies using tissue paper!

The children of both classes were very engaged in this lesson asking lots of interesting questions and sharing their thoughts.
