A few weeks ago, Primary enjoyed their trip to Kew Gardens and attended a workshop about “seeds”. The children looked at different seeds through microscopes and analysed how these seeds travel (seed dispersal). The children also looked at different flowers and did some lovely artwork with leaves, small sticks from trees and flower petals that they had found on the ground.
One of the highlights for the children was the opportunity to explore the trees after having their pack lunch and climbing the trees. The red oak was there favourite one to climb on.
Before we left Kew Gardens we visited the glass house to look at the plants that grow in tropical climates.
We had a fun day at Kew Gardens!
