On Monday 8th of February we visited the Science Museum and attended a workshop which furthered our learning of forces.

We learnt why bridges have arches and gained an understanding of why suspensions bridges stay up.

This show called on some audience participation to help find out how forces and design combine to make strong structures.

Well done to some of our own children who contributed.

The chair of doom proved to be most popular as children discovered it's much safer to sit on a chair of 100 nails as opposed to just one nail as the force spreads more easily.

After a satisfying lunch we explored a gallery on 20th century discoveries and inventions.
